STYLEZ: FALL FASHION

I'll be the first to admit, I'm not a huge fan of fall and winter, I'm a summer gal!  I’ll always pick heat over the cold.  The change in mood and weather for this transition from summer to fall in Vancouver came fast and furious.  I'm not even sure you can call it a transition, it was like a light switch turned off summer one day.  The clouds came rolling in, the sun had disappeared and there was a chill in the air.  NOT A FAN!!  Though, there has been one highly anticipated thing about fall that I have been looking forward to; the fashion.  The new collections that have come out for little ones have got me on a bit of a spree.

I decided to round up some of my favorite brands and their fall collections to share with you. Brace yourself, these are too cute to handle!!!

1. Vonbon Apparel

Basics, flannels and bombers, oh my!  Jen did it again with her fall collection that dropped in late September.  This collection is the perfect transition to fall.  It has a great mix of some warm and cozy pieces for the upcoming winter, as well as some cute tees for fall layering.  My favorites are the dove grey and black bomber, as well as the black solid and stripes romper.  The coolest thing about the bomber is that it's made from sustainable materials. The layer of polyester is made from recycled water bottles.  That alone is mind blowing.  If you haven't already checked out this collection...RUN, don't walk.  Can't wait to see what's coming up for winter!

2. OS & Oakes

This is a new company I came across on Instagram.  They are based out of Toronto and I was lucky enough to the meet the owner Erika, at the Vancouver Kids Fashion Week and get a sneak peek of their fall collection. I'm talking bamboo cotton threads that are the perfect weight and thickness for fall and carry over into the winter months.  My absolute favorite piece is the Spot Me Long Sleeve.  It comes in multiple colors, your classic black with white patches, two shades of grey and a black and white stripe.  I would recommend going up a size or two as I found the sizes run a little small, but also to maintain some longevity in the closet.  I like to get peices that Q can wear for at least 2 seasons.

3. Minimioche

Basics, basics, basics! One of my favorite words when it comes to kid's clothing.  Basics are a key for me when it comes to Q's closet cause you can match it with everything. Minimioche is the place to get them.  With a wide variety of neutral colors and styles, their items are made from 100% organic cotton and have many different cuts. The clothing is comfortable and the number of items available for fall and winter are astounding. They are another Toronto based company which has a solid social presence and carries a few other brands on their website and Toronto store fronts. Minimioche also made their debut to Vancouver in September for a one month pop up in Vancouver at The Little Mountain Shop on Main Street.  Their last day is Oct 22nd, 2017, so make sure to check it out!

4. Petunia and Buster

Another local shop showing up on our favorites list again.  The prints that Laura has gotten for this fall line are a mix of adorable and classic. There are some classic floral harems for the gals and some pops of color that are unisex.  Another item which will be added to the fall collection is the highly anticipated romper.   I'm completely obsessed with rompers, especially for the colder months of the year, so when I heard this was coming for the fall, I couldn't wait to get my hands on one.  Petunia and Buster just had their one year birthday and gave out some discounts to celebrate.  Check out their Instagram page for more details.
